John 13:34-35

So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

See God says to love one another and treat each other the way He would treat us. This a wonderful way to show community. And when I say community I mean life experences with the people around you. See the Lord wants us to go and make disciples of all nations. And that starts right at home. See if you can’t do life with the people around you then how do you expect to go out in the world and tell people about the wonderful things the Lord has done. If you are not comfortable telling people around you about the Lord how are you going to go up and tell complete strangers. This is something that I started doing before I will go on my first mission trip. In May of this year I will go out and tell people in Peru about the amazing things God has done for me and what He can do for them. I started working with the youth at my church a few years ago and it started to become easier and easier for me to talk to people about Jesus. I know that everyone thinks that they might not know anything to contribute to telling someone about Jesus, but it the first thing that is wrong. I mean think about it, the disciples didn’t have any seminary training and they just told people what they knew. So you see you can go and tell people about Jesus. Be ready to take a leap in faith and trust that you are doing the Lords work and tell them what you know. Trust me just you taking the time to share what you know will help that person start to believe and ask questions about God. This is how community starts. And once it starts it has the chance to spread through out. So there it is go out and start doing community with the people arond you and see where it goes.
